About me
I am an independent automation consultant with over 20 years of experience in process control, manufacturing automation, and international commissioning. My focus is on the feed, food & beverage industries, where I help clients design, standardize, and modernize automation systems.
I specialize in both Siemens and Rockwell ecosystems:Siemens PCS7 (v7.x, v8.x), Step 7, WinCC, TIA Portal – multiproject migrations, Profibus/Profinet troubleshooting.Rockwell RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000, FactoryTalk SE, PanelView – software re-designs, SCADA integration, commissioning of large-scale process lines.The last 10 year I have been mostly active in the chocolate industry, from bean to bar/mold. I have extensive knowledge about milling, extruding, baking and conching systems, powder handling, bar lines, caramel and milk kitchens and cocoa bean processing.I also have expertise in virtualization of legacy engineering environments (Proxmox/ESXi), enabling stable, future-proof systems and reducing dependency on obsolete hardware.Based in Lisbon, Portugal, I work 100% remote during design and development phases, and travel worldwide for on-site commissioning and troubleshooting.
